Do You Hear What I Hear?

"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." -Isaiah 9:6

Bible translation has come a long way, and now only 1 in 5 people are awaiting the bible in their own language! Incredible progress has been made, but there is yet another need-

What a blessing that this holiday season many who cannot read are able to listen to the story of Jesus' birth, death, and resurrection!

Motivated by a deep burden to reach the unreached people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, we have opened two new avenues for broader dissemination of God's Word and inspired Bible teaching.

First, we are giving to Pastors and church members "Talking Bibles," which are solar-powered audio recordings of the Old and New Testaments in Lingala and French who organize listening groups among those who cannot read.

"So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" - Romans 10:17

Women who work together in their gardens spend hours listening to the Scriptures.

Families gather in their dark homes to listen to the Bible in the evenings together.

In God’s providence, 'Radio Lobiko' (Radio Life), a local Christian FM radio station in Mbandaka, heard about it and began to broadcast the “Talking Bible” on November 13 in Lingala and French.

RWI teams have ventured to villages 60 miles from Mbandaka to follow up with people using the Talking Bibles and to help pastors – farmers with their farming. For several days, they slept in these villages teaching and training and showing the Jesus film in the evenings.

Please continue to pray for God to work in these villagers’ hearts and minds.

The people’s responses have been phenomenal!

This Christmas we pray a blessing over your home and loved ones. That your entire household will come to know the amazing gift that God has given in his Son Jesus.
